Stadtarchiv Wiener Neustadt

The holdings of the city archive include numerous documents dating back to the Babenberg period, purchase contracts, city and council books dating back to the Middle Ages, plans from as early as the 16th century, a collection of photographs as well as various estates and a newspaper and historical registration office archive.

The archive holdings in the Wr. Neustadt municipal archive are accessible to the public after the 30-year statutory protection period. Access is arranged with the archive staff.

The study library contains around 21,000 subject-specific works on topics relating to German studies, history and art history. They are available for use by users of the archive.
