Susanne’s Vintage Garten
Description
Susanne's vintage garden is a small paradise in the south of Lower Austria, in Wiener Neustadt. Despite the challenges of the constant wind of the dry plain, she has succeeded in creating a lush garden paradise on 2000 m². Every year, part of the garden is redesigned and lovingly supplemented with succulents, houseleeks and vintage-style decorative objects. As soon as you enter the garden, you can feel the attention to detail. Beautiful plants such as oleander, beautiful mallow and gentian tree lead the visitor through an enchanting rose arch to the perennial beds. The color-coordinated perennials and shrubs bloom all year round and exude a beguiling fragrance. Meter-high hydrangeas in various colors and shapes surround the winter garden. A generous pool surround provides a worthy setting for the citrus plants. Lemon trees, olive trees and numerous potted plants stand alongside countless lanterns, pots, candles and a magnificent Hollywood swing. Small bowls of water plants offer birds and insects a welcome place to drink and cool off. A highlight is the vegetable and herb garden, where wonderful fruit and vegetables grow and are processed into delicious products. A large insect hotel and a Benjes hedge, where a hedgehog family lives, complete the picture. A new shade bed with hydrangeas and funkias in all sizes and shades was planted in spring 2022.
