Achtersee
Description
The "Achtersee" - also known as the "Achterlacke" or "B & C" lake - is a small gravel lake in the west of the city. It got its name from its shape, which is the result of the merging of "Chrysanthemensee" and "Begoniensee" and is reminiscent of the number 8. In addition to the bathing pond, there is also a beach volleyball court, a paddle tennis court, a large children's playground and the Himmelblau Beach Club.
Dog owners also get their money's worth here, as the lake has its own access for dogs.
