Achtersee
Description
The "Achtersee", also known as the "Achterlacke" or "B & C" lake, is a popular gravel lake in the west of the city. It owes its name to its unusual shape, which was created by the merging of "Chrysanthemensee" and "Begoniensee" and is reminiscent of the number 8. The lake has a swimming pond, beach volleyball court, paddle tennis court and a children's playground for relaxation and exercise. A special highlight is the Himmelblau Beach Club, which delights with its relaxed atmosphere and vacation mood right by the water.
Dog owners are also welcome here, as the Achtersee has its own access for dogs.
