Museums to be visited

Art and history play the central role in the museums in Wiener Neustadt. While the city collection is on display in the St. Peter an der Sperr Museum and there are regular special shows, the casemates show the development of the city fortifications over the centuries. The Reckturm is home to a private weapons collection and displays its exhibits under the title "Firearms then and now". In the vintage car museum, lovers of classic cars will get their money's worth. Aviation is also inextricably linked to the history of Wiener Neustadt, which is presented again in the Aviaticum Flight Museum. The former industrial district museum will be transformed into the SchauDepot by autumn 2022, which will be easy to reach in an attractive inner-city location.
